We feel strongly that a customer's privacy should be protected. Any information you supply to us is kept strictly confidential. If at any time you believe we have not adhered to the principles stated below please send email to and we will make every effort to investigate and fix the problem.

Email Addresses

Email addresses of registered users are used for sending out registration information. They are also added to our mailing list, unless otherwise requested, which is used to notify of new releases. Email addresses of persons making enquiries about HexEdit are used for replies when appropriate. They are also added to our mailing list, unless otherwise requested.

Email addresses are not sold or in any way made available to any other party. All email addresses are stored in an encrypted database, of which only two people know the password. Email addresses are kept solely to notify of new releases of HexEdit. Removal from the mailing list is simply a matter of asking.

Names and Personal Information

Names of registered users are kept and used for generation of activation codes. Other personal information, if supplied, such as addresses or phone numbers, is not retained or used in any way.

In other words, we only store names and email addresses.  These are not stored on the web site or on any system permanently connected to the Internet.  For extra security the files are also encrypted using a recognised strong algorithm and using a very good password.

Web Site

Feedback from users is only published on our "Testimonials" page after consent is given.  Attributions only include the name of the user, unless they request that it not be attributed.  Email addresses are never published unless the user explicitly asks for it to be shown after their name.

No information is stored about users of the web site, except that entered by registered users of the Forums. The site does not use cookies except in the Forums (and these can be easily deleted).
